How motion detectors work?
Motion detectors are small electronic eyes that detect infrared waves. When the detector senses an object moving across its field of view it electronically turns on the lights. The motion sensing light stays on anywhere from 1 to 20 minutes, depending on how you preset the timer. Then the detector automatically shuts the light off unless it continues to sense movement. A photocell deactivates the motion sensing light during daylight hours. A motion sensored light has a semicircular field of view of up to 240 degrees and a distance range that extends to 70 ft. An outdoor motion sensor light will react to the movement of your dog or an approaching person iff you choose to install one. If nuisance trips concern you, be sure to buy a light that has an adjustable distance/range setting, and an aimable detector unit. An outdoor motion sensor light allows you to operate the light in the conventional, manual way, usually by flipping the motion sensor light switch off for a second, then back on. This allows you to keep the motion lights on at night when you want to, even when there’s no motion. By double flipping a second time, you return to automatic motion sensing lighting. We are happy to install your Attic Fan. We do not sell Attic Fans at this time."At first I was skeptical about an attic fan. I hadn't heard much about them but I sure have benefited since buying one. After doing some research, I learned that my attic can reach up to 150 degrees in the summer, and the extra heat can seep down into my house. This added heat makes it harder to cool my house in the hottest months, which is most of the year because I live in Hawaii. There are other problems too, in the winter mold can form in the attic due to the extra moisture in the air that gets trapped and, as everyone knows, mold and houses do not go together. Their attic fan stood out to me because it uses solar energy. I try to reduce my carbon footprint whenever I can and the attic fan just makes sense because it also saves me tons of money. The cost of the fan and its installation were more than a fan using electricity, but after a few years of using my solar attic fan, I have saved an unbelievable amount on the cooling/heating bill for my house. It has been two years since I bought my fan and I recommend it to anyone wanting to save money without doing any work."
